Latest resources

Together with Mental Health First Aid England, we released the report “Workforce wellbeing in charities“, which explores the challenges faced by staff and leaders in voluntary organisations in managing their mental health and wellbeing.  The report is available to download here, and you can also read a blog by Jules Hillier, CEO of Pause and chair of the working group, here

We have updated a briefing published earlier this year in collaboration with NCVO and the Chartered Institute of Fundraising to help you prepare to talk about charity CEO pay. In the briefing, you will find context for the issue, examples of good practice, advice on how to approach the topic with donors and stakeholders, and suggestions of actions to take now.

News from ACEVO

We now have a dedicated section on the website where we will publish updates about our work to tackle the Climate Crisis. In this page, you will find out more not only about our internal work but also what we are doing to encourage and enable our members to build a more sustainable society.

Announced new events

ACEVO is looking to increase the number of co-opted trustee places on the charity’s board from four to five. This is to ensure we are able to appoint to the board individuals with specific experience, skills, abilities or characteristics, and to enable us to meet our published diversity targets. This requires a change to our Articles of Association via a Special Resolution to be approved at a General Meeting, which the trustees have called at 11am on Wednesday 13 January 2021. The meeting will be held on Zoom ahead of the London and South East CEO Forum.

Come together with other chief executives who have been in post for less than a year to share and reflect on the challenges of leading an organisation at this time of change. The meeting, facilitated by head of member support Tom Andrews is on Thursday 21 January from 11am-12:30pm, and will be a mix of shared discussion and small breakout groups.
