Latest resources

The 2020 edition of our Pay and Equalities Survey is now available to purchase. The survey is the most comprehensive breakdown of the sector’s CEO remuneration packages available. The report examines chief executive salaries, benefits and job satisfaction in detail. It also explores the level of equality and diversity in our sector’s leadership, and satisfaction levels in the make-up and performance of boards.

The ACEVO podcast is back, and in this new episode, Vicky speaks with Adeela Warley, CEO of CharityComms, the membership body for communications professionals in the charity sector. Adeela talks about why civil society leaders should listen to their comms colleagues, the positives and challenges of creating a collaborative campaign and why things should not go back to business as usual when we get out of the other side of the pandemic. You can find the episode, including transcription, here

Announced new events and opportunities

ACEVO members: On 12 October, join ACEVO chair Rosie Ferguson, treasurer Jill Halford and CEO Vicky Browning for our annual update on ACEVO’s trustee report and accounts. This is an opportunity for members to hear directly about ACEVO’s financial performance in 2019-20 and our achievements and plans for the future, and to ask any questions you may have about our activities or governance.

With less than two months to go, the countdown to #ACEVOFest has started! Join us in November for a week-long online leadership festival which will bring together social sector leaders to reflect, reboot and rebuild. The agenda is now live on the website, so you can find out more about all the sessions as well as get to know our amazing speakers. Please make sure you are logged in so you can buy your discounted member ticket.

Support for you

The weekly Friday meetings hosted by ACEVO’s head of member support Tom Andrews will continue in October. The Friday Review is an opportunity to round off the week with an informal gathering of leaders to check-in with one another and share learning. A space to pause, reflect and connect, every Friday from 4-5pm.

2020 has seen unprecedented change and impact on the world in which we all operate. Business plans need to be reviewed, if not thrown out and started again. Matthew Hardwick, risk consultant at Zurich, will host a webinar for ACEVO members on 13 October to outline some of the risks on the horizon that could significantly impact your organisations’ ability to deliver. You can also fill this anonymous short form beforehand to share your concerns.
