Lizzie Bentley Bowers is the director of The Causeway Coaching. At #ACEVOFest, she will guide you through four pillars of acknowledging endings to give you clarity on what needs attending to and reveal the messy stuff and emotions that keep us stuck.
How would you describe your time working from home because of lockdown in 5 words?
Collaborative. Challenging. Educational. Tiring. Inspiring.
What was the best thing you did for your own well-being in the past few months?
I spent more time in the garden feeling grateful that we have one, and having grown many plants from seed for the first time, taking much more notice of the plants and flowers at every stage and absorbing myself in taking care of them. Sitting outside whenever I could.
What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
Limit the news.
What was your favourite digital discovery this year?
Being proved completely wrong on assumptions I’d made (negative ones) about how well facilitation and workshops would transfer online.
If you had to leave a message to yourself to read a year from now, what would it be?
I hope when you read this you have recently paused (ideally with a glass of something bubbly) and acknowledged how hard you all worked this past 18 months, and what you achieved, and who with, and how grateful you are for your family and your friends. Take pride in the way you, and they, responded to the challenges of 2020 and 2021.
