#ACEVOFest21 speakers: Hannah Massarella

ACEVO’s digital leadership festival is back this year from 2-4 November. The full programme is available on the website and in this blog series, you will get to know our speakers a little bit better.

A narrated version of this blog is available at the bottom of the page

Hannah Massarella, founder, Bird

At #ACEVOFest21, Hannah will allow you to make friends with your imposter syndrome, and find ways to support yourself through the challenges that trigger it.

What makes you hopeful?

That even though it’s been a really challenging time over the past 18 months, it seems it’s now actually easier to connect with others because we have a shared experience.

What do you know now that you didn’t know at the beginning of 2020?

That we need less than we think in order to be happy.

What message you’d like to send to yourself to read a year from now?

To remember that in order to stay well I must remember to continue to find time and space to connect back to myself. Meditation and self-compassion and self-reflection are the best things to keep me feeling able to navigate the challenges that come up in life.

Can you recommend: a book, a series/film, or a podcast?

I’ve been listening to the Modern Love podcast which is a really great reminder that love comes in many different forms.

Did you incorporate a new habit in your day to day routine in the past 18 months that you can share with us?

I’ve been using the Sam Harris meditation app which has shown me a clearer approach to meditation and mindfulness.

What’s your favourite thing to do for your own wellbeing?

Talking to myself! I am a coach so applying my own coaching strategies to myself is really helpful.
