If you are on Twitter you might have noticed that a new campaign was launched yesterday. #NeverMoreNeeded is a joint effort from infrastructure organisations and asks everyone in the sector to share the stories of charities’ invaluable work and the difference they make to people’s lives.
The government cannot afford to overlook or undervalue the not for profit sector at the moment. As we navigate the worst impacts of the outbreak, people across the country are relying on charities and the essential support they provide. And we all continue to rely on their expertise and experience in the recovery effort that lies ahead.
The charity sector has never more been in the public eye and we want to use the build-up to the BBC Big Night In, The 2.6 Challenge and #GivingTuesdayNow to raise the public profile of the invaluable work charities do and why, if they can, the public must continue to support it.
Not-for-profit organisations make our communities stronger. In the toughest times, we do the toughest work. We provide support no-one else can. Our unique role and services are invaluable right now and will be essential when our country begins to heal and re-builds.
To take part, you just need to tell your story and why your organisation and charities are #NeverMoreNeeded, or use the hashtag in your existing social comms. If you have any other ideas of how to use the campaign, please share in the ACEVO community.
